The Qur’an last revealed word of Allah, is the primary source of every muslim’s faith and practice. It deals with all the subjects which concern human beings : wisdom, aqeedah, worship, transactions, law, etc,. but its basic theme is the relationship between allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala and his creatures. 

Not a word of its 114 surahs or chapters has been changed over centuries. The Quran is in every detail the same unique and miraculous text that was revealed to Muhammad over fourteen centuries ago.

The Qur’an Consists of 114 Surah beginning with Surah Al Fatiha and Ending with Surah An – Naas. All of the Surahs are grouped together into what are called ajzaa. A juz is one of the thirty parts in the noble quran, each juz is further divided into ahzab each equivalent to half a juz. there are two ahzab in each juz which means 60 Hizb in the entire quran.

The Messenger of Allah sawsaid ” Recite the Qur’an, for it will come on the day of judgement as an intercessor for its companion” ( Muslim ).

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ اللَّيْثُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ “‏ أَقْرَأَنِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَى حَرْفٍ فَرَاجَعْتُهُ، فَلَمْ أَزَلْ أَسْتَزِيدُ عُفَيْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِيهُ وَيَزِيدُنِي حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ ‏”‏‏.

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Abbas:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Gabriel recited the Qur’an to me in one way. Then I requested him (to read it in another way), and continued asking him to recite it in other ways, and he recited it in several ways till he ultimately recited it in seven different ways.”
